On Friday, the OPP said that Jeremy Brown, 26, from Ajax, Ont., was arrested and charged with second degree killing and did not comply with the conditions of the release order.
OPP said Brown appeared in court, was remanded in custody and is expected to appear again in court in Lindsay on May 19.
18 year old Tobin was found was shot dead in his apartment on King Street on February 18, 2020.
At the time, witnesses said the two suspects were seen fleeing the building and then getting into a car bound for Hwy. 7.
Last month, OPP released additional information in its ongoing investigation including dashcam footage of the two suspects, along with a video from March 3, 2020, depicting three men at Murison Park in Scarborough in a black Audi sedan.
OPP says it believes individuals attempted to burn certain items that investigators believe the suspects were wearing on the day of the shooting.
OPP says it is looking for at least two other suspects in the investigation.
The $50,000 reward continues to be awarded to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Tobin’s death.
