10 minutes of skin care for busy students

Whether you’re getting ready for college or going for a morning jog at school, life is about to get hectic. Bring your skin to the top of the class. The best part: You only need 10 minutes to perfect your student skin care routine. When it comes to new beginnings, it can be stressful to organize your morning skin care routine. And when time is of the essence, taking 30 minutes to truly take care of yourself is often the first thing to go. But your skin shouldn’t be affected simply because you have a million other things to do before you leave the house before 8am. Summer is coming to an end and Fall/Winter has arrived. This is a great time to make a fresh start, and for those of you who are returning with a packed schedule of classes, extracurriculars, work and socializing, it’s also a great time. Great spot to re-evaluate your skincare routine. It doesn’t always take you a lot of time and money to keep your skin in top condition. This is a super simple student skincare routine – and some extras to add as needed or desired. A good skin care routine should not take more than 10 minutes. Another thing to consider is your overall health and diet. Products like Grundy’s MD Bio Complete 3 help to maintain good gut health with the use of probiotics in addition to vitamins and minerals that help rejuvenate your skin.

And that’s exactly what we intend to do with this super fast 10-minute step-by-step skincare routine that’s short on time but offers huge benefits. Because even minimal efforts can make a difference to your skin and when you look good, you feel Good.

STEP 1- Clean for 2 minutes

Washing your face clean when you wake up helps to remove toxins, dead skin cells, and excess oil on the skin that can be secreted overnight. Start strong by taking two minutes to clean your face and neck. A clean shower is a great way to increase blood flow. Using a radiance-enhancing cleanser, massage fingertips into skin in a circular motion, then rinse with warm water and gently pat dry with a clean towel.

STEP 2- Set 1 minute for skin training

Toner removes any last traces of dirt. When it is added to your daily skin care routine and used regularly, it can have a major positive impact on the appearance and tightening of your pores. Honestly, 60 seconds is generous. You can complete this step after age 30.

STEP 3- Serum 2 minutes

Many people wonder why they can’t just use a moisturizer or face cream instead of a serum. While there are no hard and fast rules, serums and moisturizers help skin in different ways. Serums are thinner and lighter than moisturizers and are more functional because they are packed with active ingredients. They help a lot as targeted solutions for your skin.

As soon as you’re toned, apply your favorite treatment serum while skin is still damp. This will help lock in all the moisture and is good for your skin. Apply just two or three drops of serum to your finger pad, then gently pat and press evenly onto your face and neck.

STEP 4- One minute on the EYES!

Next, just take a minute to apply moisturizer around your eyes. Much better than applying moisturizer all over the eye area which can be too heavy and cause puffiness. Using an under-eye cream not only moisturizes and softens the skin under the eyes, but also works for problems such as dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines.

STEP 5 Relax for a full minute and add 30 seconds

This is the best moment in the whole process. Time to breathe and relax for a few minutes for your serum and eye cream to fully absorb into your skin. This is extremely important because it helps the product penetrate the skin and bring out the best results.

STEP 6- Moisturize for 2 minutes

After resting for a few minutes, apply moisturizer to provide moisture to the skin. A good moisturizer depending on your skin type will help keep your skin moisturized. Daily moisturizing can reduce the risk of developing dry or oily skin. Both extremes are bad for the skin and cause common skin conditions like clogged pores or acne.

STEP 7- Take a minute and a half for final touches

Great skin care means you don’t need a lot of makeup, but the good news is that you have a whole minute to use as you please. Of course, SPF is important, so apply this sunscreen first, then finish with lip balm, lip gloss, mascara, or whatever else you need to face for the day.

In addition to physical health, cosmetics can help improve our mood, improve our appearance, and raise our self-esteem. They can also help express personal style and are therefore an important means of social expression. Beauty care helps soothe the symptoms of dryness and irritation, nourishing your skin so it’s less prone to damage and you’re more comfortable. We spend most of our time working and taking care of others. But self-care isn’t a dirty word, and the few minutes we spend every day taking care of our skin can be rejuvenated.
