Sony Pictures Entertainment is currently developing 10 more PlayStation titles for film and TV, according to the group’s president and CEO Tony Vinciquerra. The news came through an investor presentation Vinciquerra launched on Thursday.
During the presentation, Vinciquerra emphasized the team’s desire to continue to draw from Sony’s pre-existing IP, not just from movies, but also from music and video games. Information follows a report that Netflix and Sony are currently in the process of creating original series based on Horizon Zero Dawn.
The news doesn’t come as a surprise, as Sony’s portfolio of PlayStation assets has been transformed into film and TV productions in the works. this is a God of War series likely to come to Amazon Prime Video as well as a Gran Turismo project under development. Sony also announced Ghost of Tsushima movie written by Chad Stahelski and a Twisted Metal series currently under development. It’s also possible that the team will order a sequel to box office revenue Not detected yetbecause it sold very well and the director expressed hope for another movie.
By far, the most we know about the HBO adaptation is based on Our Last Onewill star Pedro Pascal (Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones). The Last of Us TV series doesn’t have a trailer or release date yet, but it will likely launch in 2023.
