L’Atelier du Vin was one of B Town’s best kept secrets, until we arrived and unfolded our big goals. Sorry fellow Brightonians, we have to learn to share.
Not only is it off the beaten track in the Seven Dials bougie neighborhood (which made an unexpected Sales twist), its covered champagne garden is a wonderful, complete sun trap. Perfect for sunbathing with a bottle of Bollinger on the rocks.
Inside, you have a unique bar-style atmosphere for laid-back evenings and intimate date nights with a great cocktail or a rare vintage in hand. They also do 10/10 picky bits, so you’ll have a choice of savory snacks to soak up the vino.
It is also known to be one of the best reserve champagne groups in Sussex. Calling all discerning sun worshipers and those who fancy themselves something more stylish after a few Savvy Bs, this is the place to be.
Flint House – Best for Luxury Drinks & Small Plates
If you can get a spot on the terrace at this place, you’ll be as happy as a clam. While not technically a ‘pub garden’, Flint House is a great spot to people watch from above, put your face on the signature Sweet Donuts and Jalapeno Mayo. them (while at Flint House) and a few hours away with a glass of English Sparkling Wine from the Ridgeview winery in the South Downs. If you like your garden elevated and your wine world-class, head to this spot on bustling Hanningtons Alley.

The Mesmerist – Best for Bottomless Brunch
Whether you’re looking for Prosecco or are starving and craving 10/10 pubs, Mes is a Brighton must-have.
