10-year-old boy performing national anthem before the dolphin game hits the house – CBS Miami
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A big shout out to 10-year-old Isabella Velasquez, who brought the family Sunday afternoon with the national anthem to kick off the fun at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Dolphins players punched and cheered while she sang in front of the team’s game against the visiting Jets.

It was an amazing performance by a fifth grader from Miami Beach South Pointe Elementary School.
“Oh my, I was so nervous. My stomach rumbled ‘growl’ and I felt like it was my moment. I did it here, I will do it,” she said after the performance. “So I went out on the field, my sister was literally right in front of me, and I was just happy because I knew that my friends were at home watching me on TV. I just sang with all my heart,” she said.

This isn’t the first time she’s sung for Fins. Earlier this year, she performed the national anthem for the organization at the Dolphins Cancer Challenge XI.
In 2020, Isabella won Univision USA’s Pequenos Gigantes, and was among the last 10 singers in Televisa’s Pequenos Gigantes 2020 in Mexico City, when the show was canceled due to COVID-19. Later that year, Isabella also won the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s “Chamber’s Got Talent” competition.
