$10k given to Aurora, IL Metea Valley High School students can be used to attend college, help with medical bills, prepay rent
On Friday, Keith Melaragno, a retired Chicago executive who has supported charities and helped children and young student athletes for decades, and Emely Oviedo, a former campaigner motivating students at Bloom Township High School and currently an undergraduate student at Governors State University previewed a surprise funding special on ABC 7 at 7 a.m.
Around 8:45 a.m., Jocelyn Grabow, a student at Metea Valley High School in Aurora, was announced as the recipient of the “Make a Difference On & Off Field” award, presented by Buddy’s HELPERS.
Grabow has a weighted cumulative GPA of 4.3095 and has been on the Honors List since 2018. So far, she has achieved a GPA of 3.6 or higher each semester of high school. . Grabow has also been on the Metea Valley High School Varsity Girls Soccer Team since 2019.
