Not every season has most of the big shows in fashion month sending a look down the runway that anyone, even those who don’t necessarily consider themselves “fashioners,” can recreate with items they already own. Trust me—I tried mimic my fair share of runway looks. Usually, it involves the help of sample scissors, personal purchases, and sometimes even cutting pieces in my wardrobe. Tailor-made coats reign supreme at Khaite. Blazers accompanies almost every model at Saint Laurent. And classic denim has appeared in both Alaïa and Gucci. Clearly, designers, like us, have a love for pieces that are flexible and logical and they’re amazingly beautiful to build. *Relieved.*
