Picture it like this: It’s the end of a long day with emails, meetings, running around, dealing with people… You know, all of it. stressful stuff. You get home and all you want to do is lie down — anywhere, really, because you’re so exhausted. Usually, when I have those days, I run into my apartment, instantly changing my pajamas, try to have dinner together or order something, and then lie down on the couch or bed and look at your phone for hours at a time. It’s not the best habit, I know, especially with the phone part because that can cause some anxiety if I review my email or doomscroll.
But lately, I’ve been trying to find new ways to reduce stress, and one of my favorite coping strategies is take a shower. I’ve never really been a bather before, but now I understand why it can be such a relaxing experience. I turned on the faucet, lit some candles, played some music, and put in some bath salts. And when it comes to bath salts, there are many, but I especially like the detox type. Not only do they make me feel relaxed and calm, but they also make me feel like I can wash away all the dirt and bad stuff from my body. I feel very refreshed and clean afterwards.
