To test the full range of fragrances, I decided to ask my fellow editors to smell all 24 fragrances with me. I wanted to make sure that brand loyalty wouldn’t get in the way, so I cap the bottles and number each fragrance to allow for objective testing. In a questionnaire, I numbered 1 to 10 under each scent so people could circle the number they thought the scent was worth, with 10 being the highest choice.
From there, we all sprayed some perfume together, inhaling the coffee beans between each scent to refresh our senses. After each scent, I give each editor time to find out what they think about each fragrance, let me know what they think of the scent, and rate it before I reveal the fragrance’s name. there. After testing in a group, I assigned each editor’s fragrance to run the test. I asked them if they could wear each perfume for at least a day and reported back to me on the longevity, the scent on the skin, the compliments received and how they described each perfume after. use.
