2 teens arrested after weapons call at school in southwestern Nova Scotia – Halifax
Two youngsters have been arrested after a weapons call at a college in Shelburne, N.S.
In a launch, the RCMP mentioned officers with the Shelburne detachment responded at round 12:35 p.m. Friday to a report of two youths in a car waving a firearm close to a college on Woodlawn Drive.
Members of the Shelburne detachment, together with officers from the Shelburne road crime enforcement unit and the Barrington RCMP, responded instantly and commenced searching for suspects.
“A short while later, police arrested two youths, a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old from Shelburne County, with out incident,” the discharge mentioned.
“Police positioned the duplicate firearm that was used within the incident and seized eight further duplicate firearms.”
The discharge mentioned no person was injured within the incident. The youngsters are scheduled to look in Shelburne Youth Court docket on Nov. 24 at 9:30 a.m.
Police say the investigation continues.
