2-vehicle crash north of Barrie leaves 1 man dead, another injured: police


A person is lifeless following a two-vehicle collision in a township north of Barrie, Ont., Friday evening, Ontario Provincial police say.

In response to an announcement issued by the OPP, at round 10:40 p.m. Nov 12., an officer on patrol stumbled on the crash between a Ford pickup truck and a Nissan Versa on the intersection of Simcoe County Highway 93 and Ebenezer Aspect Highway in Tiny Township.

Emergency crews pronounced the 59-year-old male driver of the Nissan lifeless on the scene.

The 40-year-old male driver of the pickup truck was transported to hospital for therapy and was later launched.

Simcoe County Highway 93 was closed in a single day for the investigation and has since been reopened.

OPP Central Area is investigating the reason for the collision.
