2 winter-ready layered outfits made from free human pieces

For all of us who live here in sunny Southern California, compiling a look for an average winter day requires a lot of forethought. Things can go from 88º and sunny to 48º and overcast in the amount of time it takes to walk home from dinner, and that’s before accounting for the majestic sea that covers most of the Westside. We may not need weatherproof pads like my fellow editors in NYC and London, but you’d never find out we stepped outside without some strategizing ( and style).

Since I’ve gotten a little bored with the spare staplers that have appeared so much in my feed so far this winter, I turned to my Who What Wear colleagues to find divine inspiration. In particular, there is one person with a famously powerful layering game, and that is my friend and our senior graphic designer, Natalia Styzk. She’s generously offered to share the two main looks she’s been wearing across LA this season, keeping an eye on the branding behind so many of LA’s favorites: Free people. Read on to see how she styled her cozy hairdo inflater, Western shoes, the late 90s jeans, and more.
