After giving us a comprehensive redesign Sentra for the 2020 model year, Nissan mostly keeping the faith with its bread sedan for 2022. The automaker has raised prices for 2021 by a few hundred dollars, but also improved the optional LED projector headlights in the Premium Package for SV and SR to the sedan will earn Top Safe Choice status are from Highway Safety Insurance Institute. Pricing is stable through 2022 on two of the three versions, with the top-tier Sentra SR going for an extra $250.
Prices for the range, including the $975 destination fee, are:
- Sentra S: $20,485
- Sentra SV: $21,545
- Sentra SR: $23,075
There are three minor updates, starting with the Safety Shield 360 driver-assistance kit that becomes standard equipment across the range. Safety Shield 360 adds automatic emergency feature brake with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist and automatic rear braking.
Sentra SV gets the All-Weather Package option. This includes dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and remote engine start. The SR will be available with a new Midnight Edition Package with a V-motion grille, rear spoiler, rear diffuser and black badging, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Neither the All-Weather nor the Midnight Edition packages appear on Nissan Sentra at the time of writing, so we’re not sure how much they’ll add to MSRP.
Under the hood, the Sentra uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque, which sends power to the front wheels through Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission.
