2023 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid adds more power


Bentley introduced two new variations of Bentayga plug-in hybrid (PHEV) as part of the update and give it more power, torque and electric range.

The Bentley Bentayga Hybrid was initially available in a single trim level only, but has now been expanded to include S and Azure trims to accommodate the V8 petrol engine range.

The Bentayga S Hybrid has a new system that is said to complement the sound of the V6 petrol engine when in sport mode.

Outside, the Bentayga S Hybrid retains the 22-inch wheels, black door sills and side mirrors, black grille, black headlights and taillights, black split oval exhaust tips. , “Speed ​​Style” front bumper and rear spoiler from the V8 S.

Inside, there are “performance” dials in the digital instrument cluster inspired by the Bentayga Speed, but there’s a PHEV power meter in the tachometer.

On the other hand, the Bentayga Azure Hybrid is said to distinguish itself as a quieter and more refined offering.

It has the so-called Front Seat Comfort Specification, which offers up to 22 ways of adjustment, as well as heating and ventilation.

The Azure interior comes with diamond upholstery available in 15 different hidden colors and color divisions, with contrast stitching as standard and seat piping as a free option.

There are also three types of hollow veneers – Dark Walnut, Crown-Cut Walnut and Koa – available as replacements for high-gloss veneers.

Other notable interior features include side lighting, Azure embroidered seats, Bentley ‘B’ foot pedals, ambient lighting and a two-tone heated steering wheel.

Outside, the Bentayga Azure Hybrid has a chrome lower grille, 22-inch 10-spoke wheels and Bentley’s ‘jewel’ fuel tank cap.

With the addition of these two new Bentayga PHEVs, half of Bentley’s lineup is now available with hybrid powertrains.

As previously reported, Bentley plans to offer only PHEVs and electric vehicles by 2026, as it prepares to go fully electric by 2030.

The British carmaker has also previously committed to disclosure first electric vehicle (EV) by 2025 and bring it to market by 2026.

Reports abroad say the first EV will be an SUV, potentially a version of the next Bentayga or possibly an entirely new nameplate.

It could even be built on top of the planned PPE platform to consolidate Porsche Macan EV, Audi Q6 e-tronand Audi A6 e-tron.
