2023 Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman Style Editions revealed
Porsche 2023 718 Boxster and Cayman both get a new variant geared towards the 2023 model year called the “Style Edition”, and they certainly have style.
Both the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman Style Editions are based on entry-level versions of the car. That means they’re all powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. A manual transmission is standard and the PDK is optional.
What sets the Style Edition apart from other 718s, if it’s not obvious, is its looks. As standard you will get a 20 inch screen 718 Spyder wheels painted in high-gloss black and have colourful Porsche badges. You’ll notice that the Cayman in the photos has these black wheels, however, you can optionally have the Style Edition “contrast pack” paint the wheels in glossy white instead. The package also includes decorative white stripes on the hood, white “Porsche” logos on the side, and a glossy white model name. Conversely, a black Style Edition contrast pack is available to swap out all of the aforementioned white finishes with black parts.
Returning to what’s standard, the exhaust is finished in black and the “Porsche” lettering on the rear is finished in glossy silver. If you choose Boxster, you will also get the embossed “Boxster” symbol at the top of the software. You’ll also notice the vibrant pink paint on the Boxster – it’s a modern interpretation of the 964 Carrera RS’ Ruby Star (pictured above). This time, Porsche calls it Ruby Star Neo, and that’s the new paint color available for this year’s 718. Inside, all Style versions have a black leather interior with Chalk (white) contrast stitching.
As for the equipment and technology for the Style Editions, Porsche has offered a standard option package. These include the Sports Exhaust System, dynamic Bi-Xenon headlights (PDLS), auto-dimming side and side mirrors, heated steering wheel, embossed Porsche emblems on the headrests, door shields stainless steel lighting, front/rear parking sensors and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Porsche says the Style Edition models will launch in Europe first, but promises pricing and availability in the United States will be shared in 2023.
