And all around, it’s like a very valuable packaged product.

The new one Trax longer, lower and wider than before. The specific wheelbase has increased by 6 inches to a bit more than 106 inches. Like the Trailblazer, depending on the level, there are different exterior and interior designs. There is a standard version for the LS and LT, a sportier design with larger wheels and red accents with RS trim, and a more aggressive design with yellow accents for the Activ trim.

It’s no surprise that the Trax shares the same platform as the Trailblazer and it has the same base engine. It’s a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder making 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. But in Trax’s case, that was the sole motive. It also has only one powertrain combo: a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. So if you want more power or all-wheel drive, you’ll need to pick up the Trailblazer.
