Another 25 people have also been cleared of the virus, bringing the total number of cases resolved in the region to 20,374.
No new COVID-19 related deaths have been reported in the region in the past 5 days, bringing the death toll to 307, including 4 victims in November.
This means that the number of active COVID-19 cases will fall one more time, as it has dropped to 231. It stood at 250 just a week ago.

Among the positive cases are 11 people who are in hospitals in the area as a result of COVID-19, of which 5 are in intensive care.
The number of active flares also dwindled as outbreaks at the Apolistic Faith Mission in Kitchener and an unnamed gym ended.
On the other end, Waterloo Public Health reports that there are now 927,826 vaccinations in the Region, 1,729 more than reported Monday.
Additionally, 454,055 residents in the area are now fully immunized, an increase of just 184 people, although that would be enough to push the region to 75.04% fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, 687 new COVID-19 cases were also reported on Tuesday. The total number of provincial cases is now 618,490.
As reported Tuesday, 94 cases have been recorded in Toronto, 71 in Windsor-Essex, 60 in Peel Region, 57 in Simcoe Muskoka and 47 in Halton Region. All other local public health units reported fewer than 45 new cases in the provincial report.
