23 years old sentenced to 37 years for crimes in 2016

A 23-year-old man has pleaded guilty to a crime he committed in 2016. The Mississippi Department of Corrections is in custody, 22 of them for armed robbery, the other 15 for aggravated assault.
HINDS COUNTY, ma’am. –
A 23-year-old man committed a crime he committed in 2016.
Martavious Powell was charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault from January 23, 2016.
A Hinds County District Court judge sentenced Powell to 37 years in prison at the Mississippi Department of Corrections, 22 years in prison for armed robbery, and 15 years remaining for aggravated assault.
After serving, Powell will have to serve five years of probation.
