I don’t usually paint my nails, but when I do, I love experimenting with new colors. I don’t mind being a bit wild in that department. I’ve been through a nail art obsessive phase in my mid-20s, so I’m not exactly a minimalist. I have the right colors that I work towards, but I like to look everywhere for inspiration.
Lately, I’ve been using colleagues, Instagram, and celebrities as nail color muses. And they provided great number of idea. I don’t know what it is, but lately, I’ve been really attracted to dark, sad colors. I’m thinking of using a dark, complex palette in both my beauty and fashion choices: dark lips, colorful sweaters and skirts, and deep-toned nails. While I don’t limit dark colors to fall and winter only, I like to use all the seasonal palettes. I’m the type of person who immediately switches to bright colors at the first sight of spring.
This year, I’m sharing my “inspiration board” of nail colors I’ve got on the radar that I’ve spotted on both celebrities and Instagram. You’ll probably find some bulb moments here for the rest of winter (or any season, really).
