A 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck 61 kilometers east of Katra, Jammu & Kashmir early Tuesday morning, according to India’s National Seismic Center.

A 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck 61 kilometers east of Katra, Jammu & Kashmir early Tuesday morning, according to India’s National Seismic Center.

The quake struck around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday (August 23). The depth of the quake was 10 kilometers below ground, the National Seismological Center said.

No damage was reported from the quake.
