The new year has arrived, promising new video games for one and all. We have seen some great game on Switch in 2021, but it’s also true that some big names have slipped into 2022 – for understandable reasons. Add those games to the Switch games that were previously slated to launch in the next 12 months, and this year is already shaping up beautifully!
Below, we’ve rounded up the 30 biggest Switch games we’ve come to expect. They run a range from AAA first-party services to promising-looking apps. Nintendo’s habit of not announcing games until several months before release means there’s always a significant gap in the calendar after the first few months, but you can be sure there will be plenty of side surprises. first on the store in 2022. So, let’s take a look at our most anticipated Switch games…
Publishing company: Dotemu
First aired in 2019 and delay from the planned launch in late 2020, the sequel to Dotemu iconic original was brought back so the team could perfect different aspects, focusing on the ultra-strong network code. The release slides again from 2021 to the first month of 2022 and will finally be out on January 20.
We’re eager to go to court and see if we have what we’ve got 27 years after the Data East arcade original.
Confirmed for a January 28, 2022 launches, Pokémon Legends: Arceus is set long ago in the Sinoh region (Generation 4 for non-Pokémon fans) and sends you on an adventure to compile the region’s first Pokédex. We recently revisited that area in the Switch remakes of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but we’re going back in time in this spin-off that looks like it could shake up the trial and error process. -liter-bit-old recipe of the main game.
It promises another taste of Pokémon adventure, and we’re excited to see how this spin can take the Pokéverse in new directions in 2022.

Once again you’ll skate through tough courses and perform all sorts of sophisticated tricks, but this time in an incredibly colorful world with an overhauled visual style. This will provide some much-needed warm-weather vibes when it arrives February 8, 2022.
A new 3D Kirby action adventure slated for release in Early 2022, it looks like Kirby will save the kidnapped creatures in this gripping entry into the Kirby classics. You’ll blow up enemies and battle bosses in environments that look as if they could be ripped from any post-apocalyptic open world – a colorful apocalypse, but one same apocalypse!
Displayed in Nintendo Indie World Presentation In August 2020, you’ll build up a trusty trove of sneaky card tricks to use at the game tables as you cheat your way to the top of high society as a how to be an 18th century anti-French shark with the right name shark card.
It looks to be a stylish little adventure game from developer Nerial and publisher Devolver Digital, and although it was originally slated for a 2021 release, it’s now coming out on 2022.
A 22 minute timeloop game that we’ve been keeping an eye on for quite some time on other consoles, Wild outside was finally announced to be coming to Switch in late 2021…though it obviously missed that window.
Not to be confused with The outside world, already available on Switch, Outer Wilds has one of the games we hope to see has a Switch port early 2021, so we’re glad we’ll be able to play it on the go soon – hopefully in the first months of 2022.
Announced for the first time in December 2019 for a mid-2020 release, this Switch-specific sequel to the first indie hit Golf Story to be delay and after looking for it throughout 2021, we’re now hoping to see Sidebar Games’ mash-up appear. sometime in 2022. If Sports story is anything like fun like Mario plays golf-The original is fascinating, it will be well worth the wait.

Obsidian’s Pillars of Eternity Pick up the torch and put it down Baldur Gate many moons ago, and both of those games are available to play on your favorite Nintendo hybrid handheld. Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire is coming out and is set five years after the events of the previous game. It’s available on PS4 and Xbox One as of January 2020, although it’s already there performance problem on these consoles. Hopefully the extra time spent with the Switch port will solve any significant problems, assuming all is well.
This is expected to arrive in Early 2021, although we are fast approaching Early 2022 and have not seen or heard the ruckus. We’ve crossed our fingers and we’ll see it soon.

It launched on PC and PS4 back in August 2020, and its frenzied multiplayer fun has turned into a fun and desperate player with a silly social shop in serious years. Most found that in Fall Guys.
The Mediatonic team has since been joined the Epic Games family, but this Switch port was originally scheduled to drop into our ring in “Summer 2021,” but it didn’t. since delayed, and delayed again. Looks like we’ll see it in 2022.
