While many designers have gone through various aesthetic changes throughout the years, Chanel has always had the ability to expire while remaining true to the brand’s roots. There are a few pieces that are in tune with the classics of the French fashion house—tweed skirts, quilted flap pockets, strappy sandals and a black and white swimsuit come to mind first. And whether it’s from the Karl Lagerfield-themed Met Gala for a week or the three Chanel bridal gowns that Sofia Richie wore this past weekend, the legacy brand is everything people can talk about. right now.
With that, I couldn’t help but dig a little deeper into Chanel’s catwalk collections (both classic and modern) and find some affordable alt. Because while Sofia Richie and I may be the same age, a Chanel wardrobe just doesn’t look right to my budget right now.
