42 Dugg faces 5 years sentence after pleading guilty to gun charges
It looks like Detroit-born rapper 42 Dugg is likely considering a long prison sentence.

Detroit News reported that 42 Dugg, officially known as Dion Hayes, pleaded guilty after failing to surrender and serving a six-month prison sentence last year for illegal possession of a firearm.
42 Dugg Facing anywhere from 6 months to 5 years behind bars
While prosecutors have agreed to recommend a six-month sentence for the rapper, the presiding judge—William Ray II—will likely dismiss that offer and give Hayes a sentence of up to five years in prison.
In addition, after being released, 42 Dugg agreed to participate in a 30-day drug inpatient program. This will be followed with a 30-day outpatient program.
Sentencing will begin May 10, and no further updates are available at this time.

42 Dugg got in trouble after ATF got tip
According to The Detroit News, these legal problems date back to November 2019, when the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) received word that Dugg — who had previously served a sentence for carjacking. and in possession of a gun — opened fire. at a bunch of Atlanta guns.
This accusation was confirmed through surveillance footage and the rap star was eventually arrested and charged with aggravated gun possession in March 2020.
He was then sentenced to three years of probation. However, after being repeatedly caught violating the terms of his probation, he was ordered to surrender to a federal prison camp to serve a six-month sentence.
Ultimately, his failure to comply with the order got him into even more trouble, though the exact ramifications won’t be clear until he’s convicted later this year.
