’60 points in an NBA game’ test
The Minnesota Timberwolves has only made it to postseason once in the past 18 seasons but is poised to at least make it to the Western Conference this year. A big reason why is the play by the three-time star Karl-Anthony Towns. averaging just under 25 points and 10 goals a game, Towns is poised to send the Wolves into the post-season, as witnessed by the highest 60 point achievement of his career meet the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. The town has 32 points in the third quarter alone, ranking 5th all time. The Wolves rarely give fans a reason to smile, but with Towns, Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell all playing football this season, things are starting to look good in Minneapolis.
Which brings us to today’s puzzle. In all of NBA history, only 31 players have scored 60 or more points in a game in the NBA season, a list that now includes the Town. So, with that in mind, how many of the 31 out of 31 can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
