71-year-old woman becomes second victim this week of bison attack in Yellowstone National Park
The bison in Yellowstone National Park seem to be feeling somehow these days, as a second attack from the animals within a week has been reported. According to recent reports, a 71-year-old woman is the latest victim of a bison attack in Yellowstone, as she was aroused when it lunged at her.
Visitors to Wyoming’s Yellowstone National Park have been put on high alert after a series of bison attack during last week. When a 71-year-old woman is visiting a popular park with her daughter, things take a turn for the worse. @TheHill reports in a press release, the attack that followed was described as: “The woman and her daughter inadvertently approached the bison as they were returning to their car. at the top of the trail, causing the bison to rush.”
Thankfully, although the unidentified woman was gored by a bison, she suffered only a handful of non-life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to West Park Hospital in Cody, Wyoming shortly after the attack.
Just a few days ago, a male tourist at Yellowstone suffered the same fate, as he was also horrified when the animal lunged at him and his family. During that incident, the man suffered an arm injury and was taken by ambulance to East Idaho Medical Center.
Officials at Yellowstone National Park are urging visitors to note that “Bison is unpredictable and can run three times faster than humans.”
