Some of us find inner peace through guided meditation. Others run away or hug their cats. Eva Mendes, on the other hand, finds her joy with kitchen sinks.
“Even when I have to work, when I have to get something done – I can’t do it with my kitchen being a mess. And especially my sink is getting messy,” she says.
Like so many of us, the Covid-19 pandemic has turned Mendes into something of a pathogen. Mother of Esmeralda Amada, 7, and Amada Lee, 6, along with longtime partner Ryan Gosling, “have gone into ultra-clean mode,” she said. “I went through sponges like crazy. And I realized, God, these sponges suck. ”
So she collaborated with Skura style, Antibacterial sponge. Now she is an active partner in business. In fact, she’s so active that she writes poetry about sponges the way a designer does on patterns and fabrics.
“It dries very quickly. It contains less bacteria and fades when it’s time for a change,” she says. “Your sponge will tell you when it’s time.”
And that’s a good thing because Mendes says her niche is the kitchen. “My man cooks. I make the food, in a fun way. I find it meditative. It makes me happy. I am able to practice my mindfulness meditation because maybe before I was young I used to do TM – transcendental meditation – and many other things. Now it’s like, are you kidding me? I don’t have five minutes to sit. But right now I’ll take it where I can get it. And, usually, that’s when I’m in the kitchen and that’s when that happens to me. ”
But when she’s on the road, she also likes to have someone by her side to comfort her. Mendes knows what she likes and how she likes it. These are the things she always brings with her when she travels.

They are crossbreeds, but they are non-toxic and they have a long-lasting scent. I get the flowers. Freesia is my favorite. ”

No waste, no want with these wipes, reusable and washable. “I swear, I’m not trying to just plug in my product, but I love microfiber wipes. We have them – I use it to clean my phone,” Mendes said. I like to clean things up, not excessively. But, I like to wipe it off when I get on the plane or when I get to my hotel room.”

I pick up a diary wherever I’m on my travels — then, I write it down in my next diary,” she said. I just picked up one in London based on a William Morris design, so that will be my next one. “

Mendes is known to love scarves, and of course, she always has a great one on hand. “I always fly the same plane. There’s this Instagram feed, this page I follow – it’s called The Wrap Life. I get a lot of my embrace from her, and I just love giving her my love because she’s amazing,” she said.
