It’s no secret that we love (and sometimes hate) Happiness. Horror movies may follow the lives of teenagers, but I’m sure as you all know, it’s not a show for young children. At times, the raw theme explored in its world gives me so much sadness, I feel like I’m living fully with the characters. But it’s not all doom and gloom — we’re here to explore the lighter artistic elements of today’s show. Season two didn’t come to play, and neither did the gorgeous makeup look created by the show’s awesomeness make up main group and artist, Doniella Davy.
“Given this season’s darker theme and cinematic aesthetic, the makeup needs to become less of a rainbow,” shares Davy. I love all the quintessential elements of season one — glitter, rhinestones, bold colors, graphic shapes, etc. I want to continue that exploration in season two, but I don’t want to repeat myself either or try to outdo yourself by growing bigger or bolder than in season one. There are moments of bold color and some colorless, moments of knife-sharp wing linings, and moments of free-spirited paintings. I swapped out the more sparkly moments and the neon moments for finer sparkles and vivid jewelry tones. I also used small iridescent rhinestones for the cinematic sparkle we live in. “
