Holocure 0.7 update expands Holohouse Mode
After taking a short detour to create A completely separate game (as one did), Kay Yu and friends are back with a new update for their Survivor-like/bullet paradise Holocure. While the update adds two more generations of Hololive Vtubers as characters, the true nature of Holocure Version 0.7 is many additions to the Holohouse side game.
But first, the new characters. Holocure Update 0.7 adds 9 vtubers from Hololive’s 3rd and 4th generations, including the now-graduated Kiryu Coco (though not the now-defunct Uruha Rushia). Each character has their own individual weapon and set of 3 skills, some of which are quite simple to understand while others encourage a very different play style or build. For example, Tsunomaki Watame’s character lacks much attack power but one of her skills allows her to defeat enemies by healing them. Or you can just use her special device, which is capable of firing huge laser beams, your choice.
There’s also a new level, a new difficulty mode, and some new weapons. Holocure‘S Act 5, Fantasy Islandhonestly, it took me a long time to jailbreak even with the upgrade collection almost maxed out. It’s a continuous vertical level with cannons to avoid and lots of very tough enemies, some of which have additional projectile attacks. There’s also a really fun final boss at the end, and the new Fan Mail system even encourages returning to fight it multiple times to get a rare item.
However, the new weapons and items are a bit lighter and more situational. This new weapon in particular isn’t super powerful on its own, but when combined with one of the new Collabs, it can become truly terrifying. The last big addition in Holocure 0.7 are new support skills, allowing players to choose a utility ability to participate in the game such as healing or experience net. All of these are really useful, however I’ve found this dodge to be the strongest so far so it’ll be interesting to see how it works. Holocure The team balances and builds around the mechanic.
You could be forgiven for thinking that’s all, but no, Holocure have more to give. As many new areas have been added to the Holohouse mode, a relaxing side game is included Updated first. Instead of a small area with a house to decorate and small management and fishing mini-games, there is now a large area to the south containing about 10 or 11 new mini-games. One is a simple crafting game that involves hitting objects until resources drop, then turning them into new tools or crafting items for commissions through another activity . Another is essentially a straight remake of the platformer jumping kingwhile the new Usada Pekora themed casino has a number of games of both chance and skill. You can even train your mascot workers to fight in the arena in the most adorable blood sport.
If I had to criticize it, I would say that some of the mini-games are quite simple or a bit too self-contained. There are some bonuses that can be included in the main ammo paradise mode, but they are mostly quite small and unnecessary if you want to skip them. But that’s also a positive, because if you’re not into the Holohouse side of the game, you can safely ignore it.
Initially, I felt like the main game content seemed a bit light, and perhaps that’s because of how much content the Holohouse update took up, but check back at the previous patch notes and there’s just as much. such content in it. Holocure 0.7 update as usually comes with these big patches. My perception was skewed by the amount of filler content we brought to the forefront. Feeling like Kay Yu and Holocure The team not only became better and more productive, but also more creative and ambitious with what they wanted to try and build in the game. If I were a studio looking for new talent, I’d engage these developers in a heartbeat, but I hope we’ll see what else they can come up with. Holocure Just a little more time.
