With each passing season, it becomes harder to predict what Pete Davidson will wear next. The first is his well-documented love of vibrant street fashion and otherwise weird theme. Then come Thome Browne dress and a bunch of other more suitable appearance when he’s practically living the red carpet with his ex Kim Kardashian. Now, he’s landed somewhere in between: wearing a vest over a tracksuit for the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Chopard’s new posh Fifth Avenue store. Not too surprising: it’s a killer look that Davidson easily creates.
The look comes from Brendon Babenzien’s Noah, a brand that’s also great at combining better American preparedness with street sensibilities. The star of the outfit is a herringbone jacket made in partnership with Fox Brothers, a long-standing British label that has been in the wool business since 1772. Davidson wore it over a tailored suit Sweatshirts and sport shorts Made from cozy back-brushed fleece that has become a perennial staple in Noah’s collections. Everything fits perfectly, with just the right amount of drape in the jacket and comfortable but not billowing perspiration. Davidson takes it even further with Chopard MilleMiglia watch and some layers that look a lot like the 2000s from the Bonnie Clyde brand in Los Angeles.
While the comedian has certainly felt more comfortable in the suit lately, this feels like a distinctive Davidson look. And a more standard move, of course, would be to wear a vest with matching pants. But instead opting to pair it with a tracksuit is exactly what one wants from the king of hoodies and sneakers. In 2022, there are a million different ways to get fit—and wearing sweatpants and a vest is Pete Davidson’s style.
