Of all the delighted spectators to see Rihanna’s successful return to last night’s Super Bowl Half-Time Show, none cheered as passionately as her partner, A$AP Rocky.
While Rihanna ripped the stage in a custom cinnamon-red Loewe jumpsuit (which revealed her growing pregnant belly, revealing that the couple were expecting their second child), an Alaïa feather coat , and Margiela x Solomon sneakersThe NFL’s serious content team caught Rocky, who scored a coveted spot on the field to watch the performance, gleefully film it all on my phone. This also creates a great opportunity for Mr. Fashion Killa shows off her own outfits. (After all, it’s not unusual for Rocky to leave a fashionable Rih serve.)
During the show, A$AP flexed a custom red, white, and blue NFL leather jacket by designer and frequent Rocky collaborator Jeff Hamilton, which featured hand-embroidered silhouettes. Rihanna’s tattoo holding a soccer ball is the same image she used to announce her performance back in September. He teamed it up with a Fenty brand driver hat, a great pair of khaki pants (held by his favorite “GRIM” belt) and square toe boots. A very “proud husband and father” outfit, in his very own Rocky style.
Interestingly, when Rocky rocked the stadium after the game, he was accompanied by Jay-Z, who was wearing an identical coat to Rocky’s, or just keep Rocky’s coat warm for the time being. Certainly Jay, Rih’s original mentor, has his own reasons to feel proud.
For the night of partying that followed, Rocky swapped out his oversized khakis for a pair of baggy blue jeans and black cowboy boots (a classic combination that, if misunderstood,) and bring your own bottle of Mercer + Prince whiskey. All around, it was a big night for the Mayers-Fenty family.
