Afghan Special Forces commander faced race against time to flee

There’s rising concern concerning the destiny of lots of of Afghan Particular Forces who have been educated by the British army and who’ve been left behind after the Kabul airlift ended final month.

He served within the Afghan Particular Forces for nearly twenty years, reaching the rank of Lieutenant colonel shortly earlier than the Taliban gained management of Kabul.

Travelling on foot to the capital in a race towards time, members of the Parachute Regiment he served alongside managed to coordinate his rescue.
