Aliisha: The Fall of the Twin Goddesses Brings Unique Co-op Puzzle to Switch This Month

Aliisha: Oblivion of Twin Goddesses get our attention last year because there is a rather unique co-op mode. Instead of solving puzzles on two separate Switch consoles in handheld mode, one uses the Joy-Con in dock mode and the other uses the Switch in handheld mode. And we’ll be trying it out for ourselves soon, as publisher Loftstar Interactive Entertainment has announced that the game will final will launch as a Switch exclusive on November 24th!

A game that actually use Joy-Con in interesting ways? Please trust us. You’ll need to solve puzzles – alone or with a friend in couch co-op – using your controller in different ways. There are puzzles for sure, but it’s all wrapped up in a lovely art style and a heartfelt story about two sisters. It would make us cry, wouldn’t it?

Aisha will be controlled by the player using the TV, and their job is to explore the world. Lisha will operate a “robot skin” (see that art? It’s a Switch! *gasp*) to assist her sister, which is done by the untagged player.

You have to have two Switch consoles to play with a friend – so no Switch co-op experience here – which is a bit of a pity, but it’s pretty novel. If you are playing single player, you will alternately control Aisha and Lisha.
