Amazon Fire TV Omni is discounted to just $299
Amazon’s Fire TV Omni set is the first set by Amazon itself, giving you all the perks of the company’s Fire OS software (including Alexa) right out of the box. They’re not necessarily the best TVs out there in terms of picture quality, but they do give you a lot of useful features for your money – and this is an especially great value when they’re built. There are some extremely low prices.
Every Fire TV Omni model is on sale now, with the 43-inch model starting at just $299 (save $110) and the 65-inch and 75-inch models available with some particularly great savings at $110. $499 and $749 respectively.
We really like the Omni’s seamless Alexa integration, which allows us to upload specific programs and apps using just our voice – no remote required. You can even use these TVs to monitor Ring the camera in picture-in-picture mode or immerse yourself in some cloud games via Amazon Luna. And soon you’ll be able to connect webcams and make Zoom calls from the big screen. It’s a step above third-party Fire TV Edition sets from brands like Toshiba and Insignia.
In terms of picture quality, the Fire TV Omni is decent – especially for the price. We found the Amazon TV (which outputs in 4K with HDR support for rich colors) to have vibrant and bright colors for most shows and movies, but it’s not quite as vivid. Our selection of the best TVs in TCL 6-series. There aren’t many customization options either, so those who enjoy tinkering with how their TV looks may be disappointed.
However, unless you have a particularly discerning eye, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a reliable 4K TV at this price – 65 inch model for only 499 dollars especially interesting. And if you’re already deeply rooted in the Amazon ecosystem and have plenty of Alexa-compatible gadgets, the Omni is a no-brainer.
Those on a tighter budget who can live without a completely hands-free Alexa control, might consider the more basic Fire TV 4-series Also on sale starting from $279 for the 43-inch model.
