Heche was taken to the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital north of Los Angeles, where she remained until her death on Friday.
“Today we have lost a bright light, a kindest and most joyful soul, a loving mother and a faithful friend.
Anne will be greatly missed but she lives off her beautiful sons, iconic work body and passionate advocacy,” her family said in a statement. “
