The votes have been counted and we are excited to announce the finalists of The Cultivate Awards for 2022! You guys really showed off this year and we have a ton of incredible indie designers to choose from, but in the end, our judges chose the final four who will compete on the show. Our LIVE virtual broadcast of The Cultivate Awards on Saturday, April 23, 2022 (go ahead and mark your calendar, the ad tells your friends). These designers were chosen for their originality, innovation and design aesthetic.

Angela Rene ‘by Rene’ Tyler
Angela Rene’ is the CEO/Designer of Rene ‘Tyler, an all-inclusive brand that specializes in providing women 12 years and older with bridal, contemporary, and high-end designs. Having been in the business for over ten years, she understands how to design for curvy women of all shapes, sizes, ages and backgrounds. Rene’ believes that no matter what size you are, women should have options when it comes to fashion. It doesn’t matter if you are size four or thirty-four, fashion is for everyone!

Charniece White of Pinecone Row / BARKWOOD
Charniece F. White is a full-service pattern maker and technical designer, dedicated to developing products from concept to production for people of all sizes. She has more than 10 years of experience ranging from atelier-based brands like Halston Heritage to all-inclusive clothing manufacturers with licensing rights to brands like GAP, Banana Republic, Orvis and Woolrich. In addition to being the founder and Creative Director for Rows of pine trees and premium brands Barkwoodshe has worked or consulted for Fashion Nova, 7 For All Mankind, Birdy Gray, Perfect Number, SIWY Denim.
Inspired by many of the black women’s fashion icons that preceded her, Charniece arranges and dreams for little black girls and children who don’t see themselves represented in fashion. only on the runway but also behind runway.
LeAndra Dove by Lorenz James by Elle Dove
Le’Andra Dove affectionately known as Elle is a black American designer. She was born and raised in Atlanta, GA and from the age of 8 she knew she wanted to be a designer. One of her earliest designs was inspired by paintings by Georgia O’Keefe. She officially taught and received her BFA in fashion design and merchandising from IADT Orlando in 2012. Then she made her debut. Lorenz James by Elle Dove in 2013.

Matthew Paul Robinson is a Fashion Designer based in California. His “Cali-Chic” aesthetic focuses on tailored clothing that is playful, elegant, and easy to wear.
“At Matthew Paul Robinson Inc., I create clothes that my clients will want to wear for years. I call the clothes ‘Cali-Chic.’ The focus is on a great fit, playful colors, sexy silhouette and ease of movement. I look forward to creating women’s clothing for years and years to come. “
