Saturday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis is a celebration.
Nearly everything went smoothly for the Timberwolves in their 43-point (138-95) win over the Grizzlies. Anthony Edwards, NBA Draft 2020 overall No. 1 pick, exploded early and helped Minnesota run away from the game.
He scored 17 of his 23 points in the first quarter alone, perfect 6/6 from the pitch and 5/5 from outside the arc. His outburst in the first period not only kept the team going, but also kicked off what has been determined to be an incredible 2021-22 standout package.
