Apple is getting ready for the release of iOS 16 today, September 12 at 10am PDT (10:30pm, Indian Standard Time). Notice about the same Apple Hub tweeted on September 11 saying, “iOS 16 will be available starting tomorrow, September 12 at 10 a.m. PDT. There are 19 older iPhone models, in addition to iPhone 14 that will receive the iOS 16 update. Models include: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro , iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13″iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone SE 2022, iPhone SE 2020.

iOS 16 will bring new personalization features, seamless communication, and more, thus enhancing the user experience for all the iPhone models mentioned above.

Features of iOS 16

Lock screen: You’ll get brand new ways to personalize your lock screen. You will be able to showcase your favorites Photograph, customize the font style and display a set of widgets to get information at a glance. You’ll be able to see your Lock Screen notifications in expanded list view, stacked view, or hidden view.

Focus: A streamlined new setting for focus that lets you choose which apps and people you want to receive notifications for by allowing or muting them. Connect your Lock Screen to your Spotlight so that the look and feel of your iPhone matches how you want to use it at the moment. With a swipe, you can switch from Personal Focus to Work Focus with widgets showing upcoming meetings and to-do lists.

Passwords: Passwords replace passwords with an easier and more secure login method. Passwords never leave your device and are specific to the site you created them on, making them virtually impossible to phish. You’ll be able to sign in to websites or apps on other devices, including non-Apple devices, with your saved password by scanning the QR code with your iPhone or iPad and using Face ID or Touch ID for authentication. Plus, Passkey is encrypted end-to-end and syncs across your Apple devices via iCloud Keychain.

Messages: You can now edit a recently sent message or cancel a recent message entirely. And you can mark a message as unread if you can’t reply right now and want to come back to it later. You can edit a message for up to 15 minutes after sending it. While unsend send any message up to 2 minutes after sending.
