Arcadia Fallen is a visual novel that focuses heavily on role-playing and comes out today
The Switch has some pretty decent options in the visual novel genre, and today’s new arrival also looks pretty promising. Arcadia Fallen, from Danish development team Galdra Studios, launches the console on Switch later today (January 5), arriving at 2pm UK/3pm CEST in Europe and 9am Thai Binh Ocean/Eastern noon in North America.
As for what this game offers, on the one hand it seems to have a talented and well-sized voice cast, which has been made possible through a Kickstarter campaign. In addition, it is a visual novel that gives the player a lot of self-determination, with role-playing elements that allow you to define your characters, their personalities, and their relationships with others. .
Arcadia Fallen is a Nordic-inspired fantasy film where role-playing and personal expression are in the front seat. It features a customizable protagonist and a dialogue system that allows players to shape their character’s personality as they role-play. Will you be shy? Brave? Or people who forever tell jokes? Spend time with the people who are with you on your journey, four of which you might be romantic (LGBTQ+ friendly), and if romance isn’t your thing, you might be deep and meaningful relationships with people.
Players will also need to hone their skills as an alchemist to deal with crises and support their companions. These puzzles are easy to learn, but difficult to master, and those taking the time to become adept alchemists can use them to change the course of the story.
It coming on Steam in November of last year and it has received some rave reviews so far.
