Players collect fragments and form connections in their brains, in the shape of a personal cupboard, to unlock core memories. Over time, new abilities and scoring opportunities will unlock. Familiar stories
Run with that glorious childhood theme, check it out Familiar stories. This co-op deck builder takes players on a fantasy adventure. As the mage’s acquaintance, the player must save and raise a wayward princess as she sets out to reclaim her legacy. The world is huge, and every choice made and fighting monsters has an impact.
The most unique element of the game is the companion app, which acts as a narrator. Haven’t seen anything on sale this year that makes your boat stand out? Write down a pledge for Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest. Iron Forest
If you are looking for a game that defines the genre, you need to check it out Iron Forest. This Brain Games title of dexterity (physical skill) after it won an award Icecool since 2016. In addition to using their finishing movement, the developers have taken the board and movement to the next level.
Iron Forest Includes a two-level 3D board and a catapult to throw mech minis across the map. The game also uses more tactical strategies and variations in gameplay than previous titles. All in all, the fantasy battle for control of this forest is worth supporting. Check Kickstarter by March 5 to support this next-level experience.
Jurassic World: The Legacy of Isla Nublar
It’s finally our time: The long awaited Jurassic World: The Legacy of Isla Nublar access Kickstarter on March 22. Fans are buzzing about Prospero Hall’s adaptation of the sci-fi series. What we do know of the gameplay seems to be recreating the ill-fated island’s story through its many theatrical incarnations. You can read more in Polygon Exclusive Preview. On top of that, this one is expected to ship before the year expires.
Each of the 12 different quests is sealed in its own envelope, making each session more mysterious than the last. The choices made along the way have a lasting effect on the characters and the island itself. And there is a replayable end game.
