A minimum of 10 employees have been injured, together with three severely, after a multi-storey scaffolding collapsed early Tuesday in Windsor, Estrie, within the Japanese Townships.
One or two employees had been nonetheless caught within the particles as of Tuesday morning, based on the Sûreté du Québec (SQ). A number of employees had been handled on the scene for shock.
The scaffolding collapsed when employees had been finishing up repairs on a silo, police stated. The incident occurred at a facility believed to be owned by the Domtar paper firm.
The SQ’s main crime squad and Quebec’s office security board are investigating the incident.
