Like Virat kohli continued his tasteless form with Batman, the pressure on him grew. For those who like Deepak Hooda impressing in Kohli’s place when the former India captain is with the Test team or rests alongside, calls to replace him with younger options are growing. Former captain of India Kapil Dev recently commented on the matter and said he should be dropped if he can’t put on a good performance, despite being a “old player”.
The International Cricket Council shared a specific quote from Kapil Dev.
“Playing good players when you have loads of options. You can’t just rely on fame but also look for current form. You can be a reputable player but that doesn’t mean it. is that you have a chance even if you lose five games in a row,” Kapil said.
Australia’s opener Usman Khawajahowever, gave a hilarious response to the post, suggesting that India’s rivals would welcome the move to remove Kohli from the T20 pool.
Commenting on the ICC post, Khawaja wrote: “50 average at close to 140. Good call. Australia Agreed.”
The comment has received more than 18,000 ‘likes’, with some users also circulating screenshots of it on Twitter.

Kohli played the last two T20I games against England and was only able to bring home points 1 and 11.
With the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia set to kick off in October, India will be hoping that Kohli can find form again soon.
