Ava DuVernay’s Array exits exclusive deal with Spotify – The Hollywood Reporter

Ava DuVernay’s Array has parted ways with Spotify and will no longer create podcasts for the audio giant, Array spokesperson confirms The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.

Last year, Array and Spotify announced a multi-year exclusive deal for Array to produce scripted and unscripted podcasts with Gimlet, the Spotify-owned studio. According to an Array spokesperson, although no podcasts or shows have been released under the agreement, many projects are in development.

A Spotify representative declined to comment.
