Baby Brit drowns in swimming pool after being pulled unconscious from waters near Benidorm
A toddler in England drowned in a swimming pool in the Costa Blanca.
The 19-month-old boy was pulled out of the water unconscious yesterday afternoon at around 6:15pm.

An air ambulance was dispatched to the area as part of the emergency response but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pool where the tragedy happened is described as a private pool in Aigues, a village a short drive from the coast north of Alicante and southwest of Benidorm.
A routine police investigation is underway.
Good sources confirm the young player killed is British. It was not immediately clear whether the toddler was on vacation with his family or living in Spain.
Wednesday’s tragedy happened behind the scenes of two other people in the area involving British nationals.
Expat Ingrid Dale, 67, from Dereham in Norfolk, died after being stung by a wasp at a restaurant in Costa Blanca on May 9.
She is said to have suffered anaphylaxis in front of friends at the bar in the seaside town of Moraira, half an hour north of Benidorm.
She died in an ambulance outside Hill Top Sports Bar & Grill after cardiac arrest before being taken to hospital.
Friends and wise men spoke of their grief over the strange death of widow Ingrid when she showed up at a luncheon to help raise money for Ukrainian families when tragedy struck.
Later that same day, a British man drowned in a nearby river claiming the lives of three others in the past month as he tried to save his dog.
Former Royal Navy sailor Paul Lebihan, a native of Gateshead, died after running into difficulties in the river at a scenic spot a short drive from the Costa Blanca resort in Benidorm.
