On Tuesday, Ford spokeswoman Emma Bergg confirmed to Green Car Reports that a production and transit stop order has been issued for the F-150 Lightning pickup truck due to the issue. about the potential battery.

Ford has not issued a cease-and-desist order, and Bergg on Tuesday confirmed that the Lightnings already in dealerships awaiting delivery could be delivered to customers on schedule.
On Wednesday, however, Begg noted that Ford had identified a “number of vehicles potentially affected by the incident”—perhaps an early indication that the recall might be in the offing.
“By the end of next week, we hope to wrap up our investigation and apply what we’ve learned to the truck battery manufacturing process; this can take several weeks,” Bergg said.
The engineering team is currently identifying the root cause of the potential problem and has not provided a timeline for when the shipbuilding and shipping stoppage orders during transit will be reversed.
