“If I play really well, I know I can beat anyone” – Beau Greaves said that reaching the PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace was a “dream come true” and is a “bonus”.

Greaves, whose nickname is ‘Beau’ n ‘Arrow’, is qualified for sensational style, extending her winning streak in the PDC Women’s Series to 52 games with an eighth straight title in Wigan on Sunday.

She won Events 19 & 20 to qualify alongside the leader of the Order of Merit, Lisa Ashton.

Greaves said: “It’s a huge achievement. It’s like a dream come true. I think it’s an important moment but obviously, when I get to it. [to Alexandra Palace] I will enjoy every second of it.

“I just think it’s really a bonus. Obviously doing that for women’s darts is a great thing in itself. I really have no words for it.

“I couldn’t believe it because I never thought I’d actually make it. It seems a bit bizarre that I’ll be one of the few people who will actually get the chance to come and play at Ally Pally.”

Greaves, from Doncaster, has been beating the men in darts tournaments since she was 10 years old, and now the reigning WDF Lakeside women’s world champion will have a chance to take on players like Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price and current biggest title holder Peter Wright. stages of all of them.

I want to go there and look forward to being on stage. .”

Greaves kicked things off with a record win at Event 19, reaching the highest average by a female tennis player to beat Sherrock in a spectacular final.
