Three-time NBA All-Star champion Ben Simmons has had a rough season. In fact, Simmons hasn’t played for nearly a year due to a back injury and hasn’t played a game for the Brooklyn Nets since being transferred from Philadelphia. The good news for Nets fans is there’s hope that he may return to court soon, probably in time for the upcoming playoffs against the Celtics. But despite his injury, Simmons maintained a supportive – and extremely stylish – presence on the bench. In other words, Simmons doesn’t let a bad comeback get in the way of the start of some important games.
Now, Simmons has always been a fashion-savvy guy who tends to favor prototype shirts. “NBA style” vibe popular with its peers: designer fashion combined with more casual streetwear. When he’s playing for Philadelphia, you’ll see him in the pre-match tunnel with everything from menswear staples from Noah to Givenchy luxuries to simple Kith streetwear. But since moving to Brooklyn, Simmons has seriously enhanced his stylish play, perhaps culminating in a total turn-around this week. He paired a green lambskin jacket with matching shorts – both by Prada – and completed the look with chic Nike x Sacai sneakers and a Supreme t-shirt. In the previous weeks, he wore a Louis Vuitton jersey sweater with the matching Jordan, Dior knitwear and Footwearand not lacking Prada or premium Nikes. He also loves color matching his kicks suits you, the telltale sign of a true sneakerhead.
One can guess that Simmons may have some other superiors looking for his sleeve for the upcoming games. (Though, here’s hoping he leaves the shamrock green at home while his team plays against the Celtics.) While starting some pro-level games it could be uncomfortable for him. With hardcore Nets fans, you’ll have to take what you can get. And if Simmons really can’t hit the field yet, at least he looks great riding in the pine tree.
