Coi Leray’s father announced via Twitter on Thursday morning.
He begins by declaring Lil Baby “the most important and influential artist” at the moment. Benzino also says that, like Tupac Shakur, Lil Baby’s music can make a difference in cultures.

The next tweet expands on this comparison, Benzino sharing that – like Pac – Lil Baby “talks that street but he also raps about positive change and elevation”.
Because of this, Benzino considers Lil Baby to be the Tupac of modern times.
.. he’s really comedian and witty about bullshit & street talk but he also raps about elevation & positive change, (like Pac) he never talks bad online, helping people and rapping about it and you can see his growth, not only on the mic but in real life, he’s the Pac of this generation.
