As a fashion writer, I’m often asked by friends on both coasts what my shopping list looks like. (Although the West Coast has been my home for the past few years, let’s just say I’ve moved to the middle LA and New York more than the average bear.) When winter holiday rolling, this feeling increased tenfold. I think because I’ve spent so much time in both cities, I have a proven track record of knowing (and discovering) what works in the Eastern Eoast, what works in West Coast and of course, what works. if you are lucky enough to be queen of the two coasts.
Considering LA and NYC are very different winter climate, I want to focus on buying versatile pieces that can be worn in both places. Therefore, my winter shopping list is full of items that you can layer up. It’s also warm season, which means I’m looking for items that I can curl up in, like a new pair of slippers or a set of flannel pajamas.
