Adivi Sesh’s Major is another release on June 3. It clashes with Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj at the box office. On the first day, the film collected Rs 96 lakh in the Hindi belt. Early predictions suggested that the Major would pick up speed by the end of the week.

Adivi Sesh’s Major releases on June 3 and is off to a slow start. However, the film saw a huge leap to the Hindi belt on Day 2. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#Major saw a 50% spike in Hindi circuits today. today (Day 2), compared to yesterday (Day 1).. Good content always prevails.. @AdiviSesh (sic).” Major Day’s actual box office scores remain to be seen.

At the US box office, Major grossed around Rs 1.5 crore on Day 1. This is more than Samrat Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar.

Adivi Sesh’s big box office gross is less than the films it has clashed with. However, it minted a total of Rs 96 lakh on its first day in the Hindi belt. Major is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and the story is written by Adivi Sesh. It stars Sesh, Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murali Sharma in key roles. The film is co-produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, G Mahesh Babu Entertainment and A + S Movies. Major is released in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam languages.
