A bittersweet moment is brewing at Circle K, which is famous for its appearance in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

The market located in Tempe, Arizona, featured in the hit 1989 comedy, will soon close permanently. To celebrate its place in film history, the store’s parking lot will host two screenings on Wednesday night.

These sold-out screenings are hosted by the Harkins Theatre, which will show the film on screens mounted in the building.

“We are honored to celebrate this iconic movie venue and thank the city of Tempe for supporting them in organizing this ‘outstanding’ event,” said Harkins Theater owner Dan Harkins. “Moviegoers will be transported through time to experience all that they love.” Bill & Ted’s at the iconic Circle K”

In the time travel movie, Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) meet Rufus (George Carlin) at Circle K while studying for their tough history exam. The scene, in which a pair of high school students also encounter their own versions, includes Ted uttering the line, “Strange things are happening at Circle K.”

The Republic of Arizona reported that the store would be closed on Thursday and staff would be moved to other stores.

“The rumors are not true,” a Circle K statement read at the time. “We are planning to close our store at 1010 W. South Avenue in Tempe. It’s a location that has enjoyed some of the most winning times in over 30 years of serving the Tempe community. “

The farewell screening is set to include a video message from Bill himself. More information about the event can be found here.
